When being promised the exotic beer bath, that alone spiked my curiosity. We went into the region Kashubia and to our stay at the local Brewery. Stary Browar Koscierzyna. The old Brewery Hotel is situated close to the city square in a renovated old local brewery. The towns oldest monument.

Our car parked just outside in the street of the Stary Browar. On the first floor you find the Brewery´s own restaurant and brewery and to reach the hotel you need to walk one floor up.

A warm welcome later and I open the door to my own “little” room for the night.

The room is huge. A big comfy bed, a tastefully designed bathroom and my very own balcony. The room is huge with plenty space for both me and my suitcase.

Eating in the Hotel, you have a good choice and outstanding cuisine.

The Stary Browar has it´s own restaurant situated in the first floor and you need to have dinner here at least once. Local Kashubian dishes served tastefully in a modern package. For more simple fast food they also have their own pizzeria. Breakfast is served downstairs in the restaurant and was really tasty.

Got some extra time on your hand? Check out the little Brewery museum or take a tour in the basement and see the big working brewery tanks. The city of Koscierzyna is small but has a lovely little square. And you can experience a real life sovjet diner.

The Stary Browar Koscierzyna offers the little extra. A small modern hotel with every facility, great food and atmosphere. And the spa part does not hurt either. As I only had one night and a full program I did not get to experience the full spa treatment. But an hour in the bear spa was interesting and really good. Highly recommended.
