A Canarian Escape: Lopesan Baobab Resort, Meloneras, Spain

Situaded in Meloneras, close to the border of Maspalomas you will find the extra ordinary built 5 star Baobab Resort.

The lush green grounds looks very much as a big forrest with palm trees and big lush bushes. In-between the the many pool areas there is the african animals peeping out here and there. Making it fun to walk the grounds even for us grown-ups. The entire compound is built like an African village, and it is no problem finding a secluded place to relax. Genius architects.

Wooden bridges, tropical gardens, waterfalls, ponds and even a sand beach – utterly astonishing. Baobab has it all.

We had the standard room with a balcony. Our room was facing the beach with ocean view. You can expect some noise from the bars and restaurants from the shopping area below but even when sleeping with the door open at each night this was never a problem for us.

If you prefer a little more quiet ask for a room overlooking the pool areas. But even here there is the evening entertainment to keep in mind.

My favorite part of the Baobab Resort has to be the Samuel Baker Bar. This is the absolute ideal place to enjoy a good cup of coffee, tea or a nice cocktail and just unwind. Got my head to relax for sure.

This is clearly a child friendly Resort. But we never felt there was to much noise or overwhelming. There is always a corner to find if you want some nice and quiet.

This is by so far the best hotel I have ever stayed at here in GC, and I would go back in a heartbeat.
