Roadtrip to make when visiting Stavanger, Norway

A great place to start your roadtrip off. Go south from stavanger and head along the national tourist road, the coastal road of north sea. Gives you spectacular views of both great beaches and as you move furter south the landscape changes to more dramatic

Norgesferie roadtrip Sogndal

Sogndalstrand

Roughly two hours south of Stavanger you will find the cute little coastal town of Sogndalstrand. White painted houses and views over the the North sea. The town is part of the Cittaslow movement, so this is a place for one who want´s to take a step back and relax. Spend the afternoon here, have lunch or dinner at the little hotel or even spend the night to really be part of the Cittaslow. Enjoy the good life and slow daily life pace. That is what Cittaslow is all about.

Sogndalstrand

Make time to play, when visiting. There are rental bikes to use and you can even try walking on stilts… I think I personally need to practice some more on this. Did not make it really good, to afraid I would fall face plant down.

a roadtrip to Høsebrua in Sand,

Høsebrua, Ryfylke, Sand roadtrip

I have been wanting to visit this area for a long time. Finally I got the time to do it. If you want to make i a scenery roadtrip I recommend taking route 13, Ryfylkevegen.

Litunet

Litunet
Litunet med utsikt over Hysefjorden. Rogalands fineste gård

This one was a surprise to even me. But what a surprise. If you want spectacular views of the fjord and a chance to see what people lived like this outdoor museum is worth the visit. The drive is one of the narrowest one I have taken so do go slow. But it is oh so beautiful.

Ryfylkevegen, National touristroad

Ryfylkevegen perfect roadtrip

National tourist road nr. 13 – Ryfylkevegen. This roadtrip is truly a beautiful one. It will take you into the fjords and up in the mountains. Keep in mind the road is very narrow at times and in winter parts of this road will be closed off. Well worth spending your time here and I would recommend a sleepover so you don´t have to rush all the pretty sights.

Ryfylke, roadtrip i egen region

Prekestolen

Pulpit Rock, Stavanger Norway

THE most popular destination in Stavanger apart from Old town, must be this hike. And I do recommend everyone doing it, But. It is crowded, and you do really need to think about good hiking gear. If you don´t have it. Wait it out and find some other pretty hike. We have tons of them, just as pretty and spectacular… Read more here
